Hawaii business journal reports Walgreens real-estate new-hire

The Pacific Business News on Friday reported Rock Tang, a prominent real estate executive in the Hawaii region, joined Walgreens from CVS Caremark.

HAWAII — The Pacific Business News on Friday reported that a prominent real estate executive in the Hawaii region joined Walgreens from CVS Caremark. 

According to the report, Rock Tang, former regional director for real estate in Hawaii for CVS Caremark has been named senior real estate manager at Walgreens. Tang will be in charge of developing new stores around Hawaii and in Northern California.

CVS/pharmacy launches in-store campaign to support ALS, cystic fibrosis

CVS/pharmacy has announced the launch of a new in-store fundraising campaign, named Advancing Medical Research, to support medical research and help improve the quality of life for those living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and cystic fibrosis.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy has announced the launch of a new in-store fundraising campaign, named Advancing Medical Research, to support medical research and help improve the quality of life for those living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and cystic fibrosis.
 
Funds raised through the campaign will benefit the ALS Therapy Alliance, an organization dedicated to advancing ALS research, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Supporters for the 2012 campaign can donate $1 or $3 at the register in CVS/pharmacy locations and online through June 30.

Laurry Hinds has been named regional director at BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, responsible for business development in western North Carolina, the company announced.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Laurry Hinds has been named regional director at BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, responsible for business development in western North Carolina, the company announced.

Hinds, a registered nurse, will focus on hepatitis C and intravenous immunoglobulin sales. IVIG is a blood product used to treat certain immune deficiencies, autoimmune diseases and acute infections.

The company said that Shelley Moore will be responsible for business development in Tennessee. Moore, a registered nurse, brings six years of nursing experience, along with a career specialty in bleeding disorders, to her position at BioPlus.
