The seventh annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala at Cipriani Wall Street broke all records of previous years and raised $3.7 million to support the fight against leukemia and other blood-related cancers. The money raised jointly by beauty company Coty and Delete Blood Cancer, part of the world's largest bone marrow donor center, will help register 55,000 new bone marrow donors and help patients worldwide.

Two Frizz-Ease kits will be debuted as a part of the designer's Rachel by Rachel Roy line: one for straight styles, and one for curly looks. The two regimens will be housed in exclusive kits designed by Roy and inspired by John Frieda 's British heritage. Created to offer maximum frizz protection during the hot, humid summer months, the kits are a must for weekends at the beach or vacations abroad.

Dr. Fresh, a designer and marketer of oral care products, has acquired the Reach brand of manual toothbrushes from the Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNeil-PPC.

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Dr. Fresh, a designer and marketer of oral care products, has acquired the Reach brand of manual toothbrushes from the Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNeil-PPC. 

The sale includes rights in the United States, its territories, the Caribbean and Canada. The acquisition does not include Reach-brand floss or other interdental products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Beauty pioneer George Friedman, a former advertising executive who helped shape the beauty industry and developed and marketed designer fragrances, died Sunday at his home in Sagaponack, N.Y. He was 77 years old.

According to reports, the cause of death was a heart attack.
