ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — The phenomenon surrounding Unilever’s Axe Apollo, the largest campaign in the brand’s 30-year history, is coming to its epic conclusion in December at the Axe Apollo Space Academy.

After receiving 750,000 entries from all corners of the world, Axe has selected nine recruits to represent the United States. These recruits will have the opportunity to be selected to embark on a trip to space.

Unilever’s Axe Apollo Astronaut floorstand, designed by RockTenn Merchandising Displays, was named the Design of the Times 2013 Platinum Award Winner by Path to Purchase Institute judges, during a special awards ceremony Wednesday evening, here at the annual Shopper Marketing Expo.

A team of middle school students from Philip G. Vroom School in Bayonne took the top prize in Bayer’s first-ever Alka-Seltzer Rocket Contest at Liberty Science Center with a rocket that soared to 15.3 ft., Bayer HealthCare Consumer Care announced Monday.
