The fourth annual research study of shopper behavior, conducted by Cisco Consulting Services, revealed the percentage of “uber-digitals” shoppers, who regularly use their smartphones for their shopping decision-making, nearly doubled to 18% of the sampled population.

Mobile traffic accounted for 29.4% of all online traffic, up almost 62% compared to the same period last year.

YORK, Pa. — Unilife Corp. has entered a deal with Hikma to launch 20 generic injectable drugs using Unilife's pre-filled syringe technology, the two companies said Wednesday.

Under the 15-year agreement, Unilife will supply Hikma with its platform, including the Unifill syringe and the Unifill Nexus. Hikma has selected an initial list of 20 generic injectable products that it will include in the deal.

Under the deal, Hikma will pay Unilife $40 million, including $5 million upfront, $15 million in 2014 and $20 million in 2015.

NEW YORK — The Great American Smokeout, which rallies smokers to kick the habit, will mark its 38th year on Nov. 21, and the Monday Campaigns aims to build on the event with the introduction of Quit and Stay Quit Monday.

According to the American Cancer Society, which organizes the Smokeout, smoking remains the No. 1 cause of preventable deaths in the United States. And while almost 70% of smokers want to quit, the average attempt at quitting lasts only eight days; only 5% of smokers will quit in a given year.

According to the New York Times, an Alabama man named Danny Weeks claimed he developed tardive dyskinesia after taking generic versions of Pfizer's acid reflux drug Reglan (metoclopramide). Pfizer acquired rights to the drug when it bought Wyeth in 2009, and generic drug makers Teva and Actavis, now owned by Watson, make generic versions.
