WOONSOCKET, R.I. —The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust and CVS/pharmacy have announced a donation of more than $20,000 in support of communities that have been affected by Hurricane Isaac.

The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust has donated $15,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief and recovery efforts. CVS/pharmacy also is providing nearly 1,000 first aid kits and nearly $5,000 in additional financial support to Red Cross shelters across Louisiana and Mississippi.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy announced on Wednesday that it has unveiled a new photo feature to its existing CVS Mobile app, enabling consumers to easily print photos directly from their smartphone camera or from their CVSphoto.com account for same day pick up, with no additional cost, at any CVS/pharmacy location.

Now through Aug. 31, users can also pick up 50 photos for $5, or 10 cents per print.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. and MAITLAND, Fla. — CVS Caremark’s MinuteClinic has announced that it is partnering with Florida Hospital Medical Group, a multispecialty physician group affiliated with Florida Hospital, in a clinical affiliation that expands access to healthcare services in central Florida.

Under the agreement, FHMG physicians will serve as medical directors for 12 MinuteClinic walk-in medical clinics inside select CVS/pharmacy stores in Orlando and the surrounding counties of Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk and Seminole.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Adherence interventions targeted to nonadherent patients proved more effective in improving medication adherence when compared with broad interventions that cast a wide net to encompass all medication takers, according to new research sponsored by CVS Caremark.

According to the study, entitled "Targeting Cardiovascular Medication Adherence Interventions,” more than one-third of adherence interventions targeted to nonadherent patients resulted in improved medication adherence, compared with 18% of broad interventions.
