Rite Aid is launching an extension to its Wellness+ loyalty card program aimed at elderly customers, the retail pharmacy chain said Wednesday.

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid is launching an extension to its Wellness+ loyalty card program aimed at elderly customers, the retail pharmacy chain said Wednesday.

Rite Aid announced Wellness65+, which makes customers age 65 years and older who enroll automatically eligible for an expanded pharmacist consultation, during which they can bring in current medications for a review by the pharmacist and discuss immunization needs.

ATLANTA, Ga. — SoloHealth on Wednesday announced that its SoloHealth Station consumer health-and-wellness kiosk has surpassed the 20 million mark for consumer engagements. Texas, Florida, California, Georgia and North Carolina are leading all states in consumer engagement and usage, the company noted.

Sam's Club will host free health screenings for men's health next month, the club retailer said.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Sam's Club will host free health screenings for men's health next month, the club retailer said.

Sam's Club said it would offer free screenings at all of its 565 stores with pharmacies on June 8 for Men's Health Month. The screenings include screenings for prostate cancer, as well as thyroid tests for women, blood pressure tests, body mass index and vision tests.

Rite Aid announced Wednesday that it has converted nearly all its stores in the Buffalo, N.Y., area to the Wellness store format, breaking the news with an event in the nearby village of Williamsville that included president, chairman and CEO John Standley, COO Ken Martindale and fitness expert Denise Austin.

Just as writers find their voices, Rite Aid has paved its road with wellness. Evidence of that was clear when it announced its latest last month, raking in a $123.1 million profit for the fourth quarter and a $118.1 million profit for the fiscal year, its first profitable year since 2007.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Sam's Club is offering free skin and weight screenings during the weekend, the club retailer said Monday.

Sam's Club said all of its stores that operate pharmacies would offer the screenings, as well as screenings for the effects of stress on both, on Saturday. The screenings include body mass index, blood tests for the stress hormone cortisol, weight, height, blood pressure and vision. The stores also will give away certificates for free samples of the probiotic supplement Align.
