Boehringer-Ingelheim helped sponsor Team Walgreens/Team Tori to a tune greater than $1,000 for colon cancer research at the 2013 St. Louis Undy 5000, a family-friendly 5K run/walk created by the Colon Cancer Alliance. BI is a regular sponsor of Undy 5000 events under its Dulcolax brand.

ST. LOUIS — More than 90 runners signed on to join Team Walgreens/Team Tori last month at the 2013 St. Louis Undy 5000 in support of 24-year old Tori Riley. The team raised more than $1,000 in support, half contributed to the Colon Cancer Alliance and the other half to Team Tori, through T-shirt sales, raffles for Walgreens beauty bags and silent auctions that included St. Louis Cardinals tickets, among other items.

The Undy 5000 5K Run/Walk, presented by Dulcolax, returned to Philadelphia for the fifth consecutive year to help raise funds for colon cancer research.

PHILADELPHIA — The Undy 5000 5K Run/Walk, presented by Dulcolax, returned here for the fifth consecutive year to help raise funds for colon cancer research. Almost 1,000 participants ran in their underwear as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the area affected by colon cancer, raising $120,000 for Colon Cancer community programs.

The Philadelphia Undy 5000 featured the Colon Cancer Alliance’s Inflatable Colon; a giant, walk-through colon that shows the various stages of colon cancer, including descriptions about Crohn’s disease and Colitis.

Despite flooding from severe weather in several parts of Pennsylvania earlier this month, nearly 600 people ran in their underwear in Philadelphia in support of those who have been affected by colon cancer.

PHILADELPHIA — Despite flooding from severe weather in several parts of Pennsylvania earlier this month, nearly 600 people ran in their underwear in Philadelphia in support of those who have been affected by colon cancer.

Participants of the Fourth Annual Philadelphia Undy 5000 5K Run/Walk ran on MLK Drive, near the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and raised just over $110,000 to fight colon cancer.

Temperatures eclipsed 90 degrees Fahrenheit for the second annual Jersey Shore Undy 5000 5-km race held here last month, where Team Dulcolax joined 665 people who turned out to support the colon cancer awareness-raising event.

LONG BRANCH, N.J. — Temperatures eclipsed 90 degrees Fahrenheit for the second annual Jersey Shore Undy 5000 5-km race held here last month, where Team Dulcolax joined 665 people who turned out to support the colon cancer awareness-raising event. All told, participants generated more than $80,000 to help fight colon cancer. 


A portion of the funds raised from the Jersey Shore Undy 5000 will be locally distributed to fund services for those diagnosed with colon cancer.

To help promote the third annual St. Louis Undy 5000 5K run on March 26, the Colon Cancer Alliance is introducing the “Parade of Undies” fashion show, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim, the maker of Dulcolax products.

Rather than wear race-day t-shirts, participants will wear specially designed boxer-style shorts, providing a fun way to bring attention to a serious disease. American fashion designer and colon cancer survivor Carmen Marc Valvo will serve as one of the judges.
