Men older than 50 years of age are more than twice as likely as women to develop and die from melanoma, yet many men admit to not using sunscreen, and even more report not knowing what skin cancer warning signs to look for, according to the results of a survey released by the Skin Cancer Foundation in partnership with the makers of Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic brand sunscreens.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Health and beauty aid company CCA Industries announced on Wednesday that it narrowed its fourth-quarter loss and saw a boost in revenues as it celebrated the launch during the quarter of its new Nutra Nail Gel Perfect UV Free gel nail color brand.

Revenues for the quarter ended Nov. 30 totaled $11.8 million, compared with $10.2 million in the year-ago period. Net loss during the quarter was $3,433, compared with a loss of $697,500 for the fourth quarter 2010.

The company announced Monday that it has tapped TransMedia Group to introduce Ultrasol to the United States. According to the company, Ultrasol is a popular sunscreen in Israel, and several U.S.-based retailers, including Walgreens, currently sell the line, which includes an extensive range of lotions and sprays for adults, athletes, kids and babies.
