Yankee Candle Co. has introduced its collection of scented, Thanksgiving-themed candles, the company said Monday. For each candle sold, $1 will be donated to the USO.

 SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. — Yankee Candle Co. has introduced its collection of scented, Thanksgiving-themed candles, the company said Monday.

Yankee announced the launch of the Thanksgiving Dinner Collection, which includes such fragrances as Turkey with Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce and Sweet Potato Pie. For each candle sold, $1 will be donated to the USO. The donations will take place between Sept. 30 and Oct. 31, and will support the USO's Holiday Box program for military personnel stationed overseas.

CARLISLE, Pa. — Ahold USA's supermarket banners have donated more than $4 million to charitable causes over the past week.

Last Friday, Giant Food Stores of Carlisle, Pa., also known as Giant-Carlisle, announced a $517,535 donation through its annual Support Our Troops campaign, which benefits regional USO chapters in the area where Giant has stores, including Pennsylvania, West Virginia and parts of Virginia and Maryland.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy is using flu shots to support the USO in recognition of Veterans Day.

CVS/pharmacy said Wednesday that it would donate $3 to the USO during the week of the holiday, between Nov. 11 and Nov. 17, pledging a minimum donation of $50,000, and up to $100,000. The company said the idea was to remind Americans that a flu shot is the best way to protect against flu.

Pringles has teamed up with the United Service Organizations this Memorial Day to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Pringles has teamed up with the United Service Organizations this Memorial Day to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

As part of its "Taste of Home" campaign, Pringles said it will support the USO by delivering than 43,000 free cans of Pringles to USO Centers, which will be distributed to troops deployed around the world in appreciation of their service. What's more, specially wrapped Pringles cans will be sold at Walmart stores nationwide.

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens on Tuesday announced the company is donating nearly $400,000 worth of personal care items to the United Service Organizations to support operations in Landstuhl, Germany. The donation includes first aid items, toiletries, diapers and baby bottles, as well as coloring books, gum and playing cards.

The donation was shipped in late October and should arrive by Veterans Day, Walgreens noted.

CINCINNATI — Kroger announced that its annual Honoring Our Heroes fundraising campaign to support the United Service Organizations garnered $1.5 million.

The funds were raised in partnership with customers and associates through a variety of in-store activities at Kroger stores nationwide, as well as online at HonoringOurHeroes.com. Procter & Gamble and Anheuser Busch also participated in the program and contributed $250,000 each in conjunction with special sales programs in Kroger stores.

Kroger's yearlong initiative is expected to raise $1 million to support the USO's mission to support our troops, their families and veterans. This past weekend, Kroger invited customers to donate spare change to the USO via in-store specially marked coin boxes.
