CVS Caremark Charitable Trust has teamed up with the National Association of Community Health Centers through a $3 million multiyear partnership.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark Charitable Trust has teamed up with the National Association of Community Health Centers through a $3 million multiyear partnership.

The charitable arm of CVS Caremark said that beginning next year, the "Innovations in Community Health" program will make grants available to community health centers across the country to support the development of innovative, community-based programs and initiatives to manage chronic diseases. Funding through the grant program will support a variety of programs, including:

CVS Caremark Charitable Trust 'surprises' nonprofits with $4.3M in funding

Representatives of the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, a private foundation created by CVS Caremark, kicked off a "Day of Giving" on Tuesday by surprising several nonprofits with the grant funding they had requested.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Representatives of the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, a private foundation created by CVS Caremark, kicked off a "Day of Giving" on Tuesday by surprising several nonprofits with the grant funding they had requested.

The visits, hosted by several of the company's executives, were timed to coincide with the announcement that $4.3 million has been awarded in grants to 98 nonprofit organizations across the country in 2011, which includes multiyear grants from previous years.
