Procter & Gamble’s Head & Shoulders, the official shampoo of Major League Baseball, has announced that All-Star pitcher C.J. Wilson of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim is the newest athlete to join the brand’s “Mane Man” ambassador team, a roster that includes Troy Polamalu and Brett Keisel of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Olympian Michael Phelps.

Procter & Gamble's Head & Shoulders brand has welcomed Minnesota Twins All-Star catcher Joe Mauer as its newest brand ambassador.

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble's Head & Shoulders brand has welcomed Minnesota Twins All-Star catcher Joe Mauer as its newest brand ambassador.

The brand ambassador team also includes Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, Troy Polamalu.

Mauer will be featured in an integrated marketing campaign that will include traditional advertising, public relations, a dedicated Head & Shoulders for Men Facebook fan page, in-store displays at major retailers and a consumer engagement movement set to launch in July.

CINCINNATI Procter & Gamble's Head & Shoulders hair care brand is taking out a $1 million insurance policy on Pittsburgh Steelers safety and brand spokesman Troy Polamalu's trademark hair.

Together with insurance agency Watkins Syndicate at Lloyd's of London, the brand has created the first-ever insurance policy to protect Polamalu's full and thick Samoan locks for the entire NFL season.
