RALEIGH, N.C. — Kerr Drug will use its partnership with PDX and ScriptPro to increase pharmacy productivity by expanding its central fill model, the regional pharmacy chain said Thursday.

Kerr announced the opening of its central fill operation in Raleigh, N.C.

"It's not just about labor savings, inventory reductions and other efficiencies," Kerr CEO Tony Civello said. "These kinds of innovations and use of technologies are critical to remaining a player in the emerging healthcare ecosystem."

Kerr Drug's philanthropic arm is donating used company vehicles to a nonprofit group that gives the cars to low-income families, the company said Friday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Kerr Drug's philanthropic arm is donating used company vehicles to a nonprofit group that gives the cars to low-income families, the company said Friday.

On Nov. 10, Kerr Cares for Kids donated a car to Wheels4Hope, saying it was the third vehicle donated to the organization this year. In the spring, it donated two Dodge Caravans to the organization. While the vans had more than 200,000 miles on them, the company said they were well-maintained and in good condition. All three vehicles received repairs and have since been given to families.

Just a few months after launching its free delivery program, Kerr Drug on Monday said it will continue the service into the New Year.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Just a few months after launching its free delivery program, Kerr Drug on Monday said it will continue the service into the New Year.

The delivery program allows Kerr Drug customers to call their prescriptions in to the store pharmacist and request the prescription be delivered to their home or office and may add any other item from the store to their delivery list, which also can be delivered free of charge.
