SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Kaz on Thursday announced the launch of the Braun Forehead Thermometer, which features a lightweight, ergonomic design, providing a step-by-step on-product usage guide and user-facing digital temperature readouts on a large, backlit screen. 

In addition, the thermometer's fever guidance system indicates the severity of each reading with a green, yellow or red light, helping parents easily decipher and monitor the status of their child's temperature.

Using patented technology, the Vicks behind ear thermometer features rapid one-second readings, and is one of the first thermometers designed to measure temperature from behind the ear — a gentler, noninvasive approach to detecting fever than rectal, under-the-tongue and forehead measurements.

WESTON, Fla. American Scientific Resources on Friday announced an increase in production of its new line of 5-in-1 noncontact thermometers.

Delivery to warehouse is expected in mid June. Final sub-component assembly and packaging will take place in the United States at ASR's Ohio facility, and ship to retailers the first week in August. Full production capability of the consumer model exceeds 5,000 units per day, the company stated.

The new 5-in-1 non contact consumer model has a suggested retail price of $49.95.

BUFFALO, N.Y. American Scientific Resources plans to launch a premium thermometer — the Kidz+Med NeverTouch 5-in-1 — beginning Aug. 1.

 

The no-touch thermometer allows mom to take her child’s temperature without waking them if their asleep. Other uses include determining the temperature of a feeding bottle, bath water or even an ambient temperature. The company is planning a $1.5 million consumer ad spend this fall, reaching consumers on all three major networks as well as Bravo and the Weather Channel.
