SEATTLE — The Salvation Army's Northwest division has appointed an executive of Bartell Drugs to its advisory board, Bartell's said Thursday.

The regional drug store chain announced the appointment of VP marketing Theron Andrews, saying it continued a "long-standing relationship" between Bartell's and the charity organization, which includes the annual "Toy 'N' Joy" drive for disadvantaged children during the holiday season.

Albertsons LLC has announced that it is making a $56,000 donation to the Salvation Army’s disaster relief efforts in the South and Midwest, following the series of spring tornadoes that impacted the area.

BOISE, Idaho — Albertsons LLC has announced that it is making a $56,000 donation to the Salvation Army’s disaster relief efforts in the South and Midwest, following the series of spring tornadoes that impacted the area.

The campaign, which began on April 4 and concluded on April 30, allowed customers to select a $1, $3 or $5 donation coupon while paying for their groceries.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Sam's Club announced that it is teaming up with the Salvation Army and Off the Field professional football players' wives association for the fifth annual Dream Drive for the Salvation Army.

Twenty pre-selected families from the Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family program in 10 different cities will receive $1,000 worth of gifts, including food, clothes, personal items and toys from Sam's Club. As part of the Dream Drive campaign, Off the Field representatives will be shopping at their local Sam's Clubs on Dec. 8 to purchase items for these families.

SEATTLE — Regional chain Bartell Drugs is working with the Salvation Army to sponsor a toy donation drive, the chain said.

Starting Monday and lasting through Dec. 11, Bartell's began collecting new, unwrapped toys during its eighth annual Salvation Army "Toy 'N' Joy" drive.

Toys collected at the chain's stores will be distributed to low-income children and youth the week before Christmas through the Salvation Army's "toy warehouses."
