New Lay's Tapatio Limon flavored potato chips and Cheetos Tapatio flavored snacks join the existing line of tapatio flavored chips: Ruffles Tapatio Limon flavored potato chips and Doritos Tapatio flavored tortilla chips.

This is the fifth flavor in the Tostitos Artisan Recipes line from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, and the new chip draws inspiration from the layered flavors of a rich Mexican mole sauce.

PLANO, Texas — The Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo has launched a new line of chips and salsas, the company said Monday.

Frito-Lay announced the launch of the Tostitos Cantina brand of tortilla chips and salsas, which it said was designed to emulate the flavors found in Mexican restaurants.

The Tostitos Cantina Thin & Crispy chips are crispy and light in texture, and are designed to pair with the brand's new Chipotle Restaurant Style salsa. Meanwhile, the Traditional chips are designed for pairing with Tostitos Cantina Roasted Garlic Thick & Chunky salsa.

Combos 7 Layer Dip Tortilla combines real cheddar cheese, sour cream, avocado, tomato, refried beans, onion and spicy jalapeño peppers, parent company Mars said. As part of the upcoming launch, the new Combos treat will be supported by a campaign that will include national print advertising, digital media, promotional radio, social media, a "7 Layer Party" public relations campaign, a Six Flags sponsorship with in-park media and in-store consumer promotions.

SAN FRANCISCO — Popchips has added popped tortilla chips to its lineup of snack chips. Tortilla Popchips are popped using the same stone-ground corn masa used to make traditional tortillas. The new chips have half the fat of regular flavored tortilla chips, fewer calories, are gluten-free and contain no trans fats or artificial colors, flavorss or preservatives. The new chips are available in four flavors: nacho cheese, ranch, salsa and chili limon.

The three all-natural, gluten-free salsas include garden pepper, a blend of bell peppers, jalapenos and lime; garlic and lime verde, made with tomatillos and a touch of garlic and lime; and southwest chipotle, a chipotle chili puree with crushed tomatoes, red peppers and onions. New QuesaDippers snacks combine flour tortillas, all-white chicken with taco or fajita seasoning and Monterey Jack cheese, all packaged with zesty garden or cilantro lime salsa packets, Tyson said. The snacks are packed in resealable packaging, allowing for easy storage in the freezer to maintain freshness.
