Kroger last month installed its first remote "kiosk store" on the campus of Ohio Northern University, according to a report published Wednesday in the Toledo Blade.

ADA, OHIO — Kroger last month installed its first remote "kiosk store" on the campus of Ohio Northern University here, according to a report published Wednesday in the Toledo Blade.

The kiosk model is still in test market phase, a company representative told the Blade.

The refrigerate, 10-ft.-by-13-ft. kiosk can hold up to 200 items — though the Kroger kiosk currently fields 164 SKUs — including anything from toiletries and cleaning supplies to perishables that include fresh milk, bread, fruit and ground beef.

Almost 15 years after its debut, the original singing bird clock is being relaunched by Mark Feldstein & Associates, the company announced.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Almost 15 years after its debut, the original singing bird clock is being relaunched by Mark Feldstein & Associates, the company announced.

The clock, which features images and 12 songs — one at the top of each hour — from 12 songbirds in North America, is available for a limited time to celebrate its upcoming 15th anniversary in 2012. MFA discontinued the original singing bird clock in 2006 after coming out with another version licensed by the National Audubon Society a few years earlier, the company said.

TOLEDO, Ohio —Marvel superheroes are the latest licensed Silly Bandz to hit store shelves. BCP Imports, maker of the must-have accessory for the elementary school set, is shipping a 24-band Marvel Avengers pack to retailers just in time for back-to-school.

The new Marvel Silly Bandz collection includes Iron Man, Spiderman, Captain America, Incredible Hulk, Thor and Wolverine, and will retail for $4.95. Counter displays and pop-up boxes are available for merchandising.
