As an extension of Dr Pepper Ten, the soft drink company will launch 10-calorie versions of five of its biggest soda brands, beginning January 2013. Sunkist, 7-Up, Canada Dry, RC Cola and A&W Root Beer are all getting makeovers.

Unlike other artificial sweeteners, the 10-calorie sweetener mix used by Dr Pepper Snapple Group contains enough high-fructose corn syrup to appeal to those consumers who have reservations about the taste of diet drinks, the company said.

The lineup of Sunkist dark chocolate orange sticks and new Sunkist dark chocolate raspberry sticks, which are made with real fruit purees and juices to provide the intense flavor without artificial colors; Sunkist Fruit Gems, available in pink grapefruit, raspberry, orange, lemon and blueberry flavors; and Sunkist orange slices. The jell candies also tout contemporary packaging.

All four new flavors — Sunkist dark chocolate orange sticks, Sunkist dark chocolate raspberry sticks, Sunkist fruit gems and Sunkist orange slices — are flavored naturally with real fruit purees and juices. The fruit gem mix includes five fruit flavors: pink grapefruit, raspberry, orange, lemon and new blueberry flavor.
