VALLEY FORGE, Pa. — AmerisourceBergen on Wednesday announced the election of former Campbell Soup president and CEO Douglas Conant to its board, effective immediately. Conant’s election increases the number of AmerisourceBergen directors from nine to 10.

“Doug’s extensive business experience, exceptional leadership capabilities and proven track record for growing brands and businesses make him an excellent addition to our board,” stated Richard Gozon, AmerisourceBergen chairman.

Campbell Soup has introduced a new twist on the classic American favorite: Sun-Ripened Yellow Tomato soup.

CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell Soup has introduced a new twist on the classic American favorite: Sun-Ripened Yellow Tomato soup.

This new soup is flavored with yellow tomatoes, parsley, cilantro and thyme, and follows last year's introduction of Harvest Orange Tomato Soup.

Campbell has been making its iconic condensed Tomato soup for 115 years, since 1897.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Andy Warhol's 1962 famed work, "32 Campbell's Soup Cans," Campbell's is rolling out limited-edition tomato soup cans that tout labels derived from original Warhol artwork.

CAMDEN, N.J. — To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Andy Warhol's 1962 famed work, "32 Campbell's Soup Cans," Campbell's is rolling out limited-edition tomato soup cans that tout labels derived from original Warhol artwork.

The four specially-designed labels reflect Warhol's pop-art style and use vibrant, eye-catching color combinations, such orange and blue, and pink and teal, Campbell's said. The limited-edition cans were produced under license from The Andy Warhol Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation that promotes the visual arts.

CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell's new soup puts a spin on a classic favorite.

The soup brand said harvest orange tomato soup — developed by Thomas Griffiths, senior executive chef and director of Campbell’s Culinary and Baking Institute — features a blend of herbs and spices, including sage and rosemary and a touch of roasted garlic, which brings out the natural flavors of orange tomatoes. It is one of 35 new products being introduced by the company's U.S. soup and simple meals business.

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens recently launched a private-label line of food items to be called Nice!, according to published reports.

The initial products include dried fruit, white rice, baking soda, canned soup, tomato sauce, tea bags and a macaroni and cheese offering. The new store brand is being marketed by way of in-store point-of-purchase material, including ceiling banners, wing displays and play on the pharmacy's in-store radio.

In this new role, Raymond Liguori will be responsible for Campbell's efforts in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures. He will report to Craig Owens, Campbell's CFO and chief administrative officer.
