Dr Pepper Snapple Group's VP investor relations Carolyn Ross is assuming leadership of the company’s investor relations function.

PLANO, Texas — Dr Pepper Snapple Group's VP investor relations Carolyn Ross is assuming leadership of the company’s investor relations function.

In her new role, Ross will report to DPS CFO Marty Ellen.

The move comes as the company's SVP finance Aly Noormohamed was named SVP and business unit general manager of the company's warehouse direct business. Noormohamed will report to Rodger Collins, president of packaged beverages for DPS.

Jelly Belly Candy Co. has teamed up with Snapple to launch a new line of Snapple-flavored Jelly Belly beans.

FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly Candy Co. has teamed up with beverage brand Snapple to create a new line of Jelly Belly beans with Snapple Juice Drinks.

The candy maker began at the source with Snapple Juice Drink concentrates in five Snapple flavors: Fruit Punch, Mango Madness, Cranberry Raspberry, Pink Lemonade and Kiwi Strawberry. 

Jelly Belly Snapple Mix flavors are made from real fruit juice and purees. These jelly beans have no artificial coloring; the colors come from natural fruit and vegetables, the manufacturer stated.

PLANO, Texas — 7UP is sporting two nostalgic looks designed by “The Celebrity Apprentice” finalists Marlee Matlin and John Rich.

New 7UP Retro celebrates the brand's heritage by donning two designs similar to past looks last seen in the 1970s and 1980s. An in-store marketing campaign inspired by the decades will support the limited-edition packaging.

PLANO, Texas — Diet Snapple Trop-A-Rocka Tea, which was co-developed by Bret Michaels through "The Celebrity Apprentice," now is available nationwide.

The limited-edition flavor, which launched last year, blends green tea and black tea with pear, cinnamon and mango flavors to create a rockin' taste with low calories, according to the company.

PLANO, Texas — Snapple coincided the launch of its limited-edition tea with CBS reality show "The Amazing Race."

Snapple's papaya mango tea made its debut on the program as competitors made a pitstop in India. The iced tea company said the new tea will be supported with TV advertising throughout the season that will air during each episode of "The Amazing Race" on CBS.

Joyce Roche, who most recently served as president and CEO of nonprofit Girls Inc. before her retirement last year, also served as Carson Products president and COO, as well as VP global marketing for Avon.

PLANO, Texas — A Dr Pepper Snapple Group brand is getting refreshed.

The beverage giant is updating its Hawaiian Punch brand by bringing its surfer mascot to the 21st century with a computer-generated design, according to published reports.

And just five years after the 60-year-old brand launched, it has reformulated its Light Hawaiian Punch to include sweetener sucralose, only 10 calories and 100% of the USRDA for vitamin C. The original Hawaiian Punch also will trim down; the beverage will have 25% less calories and contain sucralose.

Effective Jan. 1, 2011, David Thomas is EVP research and development, and Tina Barry becomes EVP corporate affairs. Both continue to report directly to Larry Young, DPS president and CEO.

PLANO, Texas — A citrus soda made by Dr Pepper Snapple Group is making a major splash in the Southern states in which it’s currently sold. And with plans for nationwide distribution early next year, it has the potential to rival the success of Mountain Dew. 

Sun Drop is made with orange juice and more caffeine than Mountain Dew. Southern fans have used it in everything from glazes for holiday turkeys to alcoholic mixed drinks.

DPS' Let's Play community partnership includes a $15 million, three-year commitment to KaBOOM!, the national nonprofit that's ensuring there is a great place to play within walking distance of every child. Through Let's Play, DPS and KaBOOM! will build or fix up 2,000 playgrounds by the end of 2013, benefiting an estimated 5 million children across North America.

PLANO, Texas Dr Pepper Snapple Group reported earnings per share of 60 cents for the second quarter, up from 59 cents in the year-ago period.

The company, however, had fewer shares outstanding in the latest quarter.

PLANO, Texas Dr Pepper Snapple Group has earned high marks among American consumers in a newly released customer satisfaction index.

According to the Michigan-based American Customer Satisfaction Index, out of 100 points, Dr Pepper Snapple Group scored an 85 — the highest among rival soft-drink makers. Dr Pepper Snapple Group also is the smallest soft-drink maker, and is in a position it has held or shared for the past five years.

PepsiCo’s satisfaction also fell, down 2% to 84, and now ties the unchanged score of Coca-Cola.
