SEATTLE — Pyramid Breweries has overhauled its packaging for three of its beers.

The company said its flagship Pyramid Hefeweizen beer, along with the brand's Apricot Ale and Thunderhead IPA, will include pyramids as the focal point of the new design, along with a new font, both of which are designed as a tribute to the brand's original look and feel. Pyramid said it will apply the new look to all of its year-round beers, including six and 12-pack bottles, 22-oz. bottles and draught beer tap handles, later this month.

SEATTLE — Jones Soda has unveiled its limited-edition holiday beverages line.

The lineup includes gingerbread, pear tree, candy cane and sugar plum flavors. Each 12-oz. glass bottle is emblazoned with a corresponding colorful candid photo submitted by Jones Soda fans, and the four-pack itself is shrink-wrapped in a festive covering depicting holiday wrapping paper and a bright red bow, Jones said.

SEATTLE — Drug maker Eli Lilly is donating more than $4 million to the Infectious Disease Research Institute, the company said Thursday.

The company said the funding, which brings its total donations to IDRI to more than $20 million and its total funding for anti-tuberculosis efforts to more than $170 million, will support early-phase drug discovery efforts focused on identifying new drugs for tuberculosis, including strains of the virus that have grown resistant to multiple drugs. The Lilly TB Drug Discovery Initiative was started in 2007.

SEATTLE — Regional chain Bartell Drugs is working with the Salvation Army to sponsor a toy donation drive, the chain said.

Starting Monday and lasting through Dec. 11, Bartell's began collecting new, unwrapped toys during its eighth annual Salvation Army "Toy 'N' Joy" drive.

Toys collected at the chain's stores will be distributed to low-income children and youth the week before Christmas through the Salvation Army's "toy warehouses."

SEATTLE — Starbucks announced Thursday plans to reinvent the $1.6 billion premium juice market with its all-cash purchase of San Bernardino, Calif.-based Evolution Fresh for $30 million.

The acquisition, which is part of a strategy to move beyond coffee into the health-and-wellness segment, gives Starbucks a path to open new health-and-wellness stores in the coming year, it said, although Starbucks has not yet revealed many stores it will open, their location or the name.

NEW YORK — Online retailer Amazon is testing robotic delivery lockers that people can use to receive items they order from the website, according to published reports.

Wired magazine reported online that the company was conducting the tests in Seattle and New York at Rite Aid and 7-Eleven stores, as well as other locations. The new service would allow people to select a locker location for delivery and then go to retrieve their items automatically using a six-digit code.

The new product is specifically aimed at the convenience store channel, the company said. The product was unveiled at the National Association of Convenience Stores Show and will hit store shelves later this month.

Jones pure cane soda cans retail for $1.29.

SEATTLE — Regional retail pharmacy chain Bartell Drugs has launched its flu vaccination campaign, the Seattle-based company said Tuesday.

Bartell said it would offer a full schedule of in-store vaccinations for individuals on a walk-in basis and a program servicing area businesses. The "in-the-workplace" vaccination program, now in its fifth year, serves businesses with 25 or more employees.

In addition to regular vaccines, the chain is offering Sanofi Pasteur's Fluzone High-Dose vaccine designed for patients 65 and older.

SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs' is partnering with manufacturers in its eighth annual school supply donation drive, the retail pharmacy chain said Tuesday.

Bartell, which operates 58 stores in Washington state's Puget Sound region — the metropolitan area around Seattle — said it would collect donated school supplies at all of its stores from Friday through Aug. 28. The chain is partnering with suppliers Mead, Avery and Bic to support the drive.
