Scottish Spirits is introducing scotch in a 100% recyclable aluminum can.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Scottish Spirits is introducing scotch in a 100% recyclable aluminum can.

Available in both single-grain scotch and blended scotch, Scottish Spirits said the scotch is 80% proof and contains 40% alcohol by volume.

Scottish Spirits carries a suggested retail price of $5 for a single can.

ProStrakan has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to market an ointment designed to treat moderate to severe pain associated with chronic anal fissures.

GALASHIELS, Scotland, and BEDMINSTER, N.J. — ProStrakan has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to market an ointment designed to treat moderate to severe pain associated with chronic anal fissures.

The drug maker, which is a subsidiary of Kyowa Hakko Kirin, said that it received regulatory approval for Rectiv (nitroglycerin) ointment 0.4%. Rectiv currently is the only FDA-approved prescription product for patients with this condition. ProStrakan expects Rectiv to be available in the United States in first quarter 2012.

GLASGOW, Ky. Amneal Pharmaceuticals will have a grand opening of its newly expanded distribution and sales center next week, the generic drug maker said Monday.

 

Amneal announced the grand opening of the center in Glasgow, Ky., set to take place Monday. Representatives from the municipal and state governments, the Tennessee Valley Authority, state legislators and possibly members of Congress are expected to attend.
