BioIQ's fourth annual Wellness Trends survey, released Tuesday, also found that one-in-five HR professionals encourage their employees to engage with an ACO.

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif. — 99 Cents Only Stores is opening a new store in Santa Barbara, Calif., on July 26.

The new store — located at 424 State St. between Haley and Gutierrez Sts. — is approximately 12,900 sq. ft. and will feature a perishable food department, including produce, dairy and frozen foods.

99 Cents Only currently operates 301 stores, including 220 stores in California, 37 in Texas, 29 in Arizona and 15 in Nevada.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — A drug maker and a charity organization are donating $3 million in contraceptives to uninsured women.

Teva Pharmaceuticals and Direct Relief USA announced the donation of 5,000 units of the intrauterine contraceptive ParaGard to clinics and health centers serving low-income people, including the EXCELth Family Health Center in New Orleans.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. A new relaxation beverage may be coming to a store near you.

The Chill Group said its Just Chill beverage — which increases focus and reduces stress using 100% natural ingredients, including ginseng, ginko biloba and other essential vitamins — currently is being sold in Whole Foods stores in California. The company will exhibit Just Chill at the 2010 National Association of Convenience Stores Show in Atlanta this week and hopes to gain national distribution in the near future.
