The liquid soap is packaged in 16-fl.-oz. bottles and comes in two varieties: unscented and lavendar. Neem liquid soap is free of parabens and sulfates; plus, the products are cruelty-free and vegan.

MCHENRY, Ill. — Medela today announced the introduction of Quick Clean Breastmilk Removal Soap designed for cleaning breast pump and breast milk feeding accessories.

Quick Clean Soap is designed specifically to break down the proteins and fats in breast milk and removes breast milk residue up to three days old. The detergent contains no added fragrance or taste that might discourage baby from breastfeeding and is safe and hypoallergenic, the company stated.

LONDON — Unilever's offer to shed some of its bar soap business to win United Kingdom competition approval for its acquisition of hair and personal care products manufacturer Alberto Culver was accepted by the U.K. Office of Fair Trading.

"Following a consultation, and having carefully assessed the financial position and commitment of the purchaser, Lornamead, we are satisfied that this divestment will ensure there continues to be effective competition in this market," said Ali Nikpay, OFT senior director for U.K. Office of Fair Trading.

When shopping for soap, bath and shower products, scent and moisturizing capabilities are cited most often as influencing purchase decisions, according to a recent Mintel survey.

CHICAGO — When shopping for soap, bath and shower products, scent and moisturizing capabilities are cited most often as influencing purchase decisions, according to a recent Mintel survey.

According to the survey, 38% of respondents who have purchased soap said their decision is based mainly on scent, while 35% said they prefer shower products with extra moisturizers.
