Grize Diversity Hall of Fame Award, on June 28 during Women's Day at the LPGA in Rogers, Ark. The award, named after the late CEO of Ahold USA, who was an early advocate of industry diversity, is bestowed upon industry leaders who have demonstrated "an enduring commitment to the advancement of women and to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace," NEW announced.

Ulta implements scholarship program for young women

Beauty retailer Ulta said it will award more than $100,000 in scholarship grants across 13 U.S. cities to female high school seniors.

CHICAGO — Beauty retailer Ulta said it will award more than $100,000 in scholarship grants across 13 U.S. cities to female high school seniors.

The 2011 Enrich, Empower and Enlighten Scholarship program will offer each winner an $8,000 scholarship to the educational institution of her choice. Applications will be evaluated on community involvement, leadership qualities, academic achievement and commitment to continuing their education, Ulta said.

Participating cities in the program include:
