NEW YORK — Coty Inc.’s long-awaited initial public offering is reportedly set to launch with shares to trade on Thursday, according to published reports.

The $1 billion-plus IPO is expected to be a hit, bankers reportedly said. The beauty company will not get any money from the IPO. Majority owner Joh. A. Benckiser will be selling a stake worth $806 million at the upper end of the expected price range, according to reports. Private-equity firms Berkshire Partners and Rhone Capital are selling equal stakes worth $126 million at the upper range.

NEW YORK — Coty Inc., an emerging global leader in beauty, announced today that it has added Olivier Goudet , partner and chief executive officer of the Joh. A. Benckiser Group, to the company's board of directors.

Goudet replaces Bernd Beetz, who stepped down from Coty's Board to pursue other interests. JAB is a privately held group that owns and invests in premium brands; it is also Coty's majority shareholder.

WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition on Monday named six new members, including Aurora Algae, Nature’s Sources, Reckitt Benckiser, Sirio Pharma, Watson and international member JJ Health.

ALLEGAN, Mich. — Perrigo on Monday announced that it has begun shipments of guaifenesin 600-mg extended-release tablets. It's the first product that is generically equivalent to Reckitt Benckiser's Mucinex 600-mg extended-release tablets. 

NEW YORK — Sun Products' All Mighty Pacs laundry packs, Aquafresh Extreme Clean Pure Breath Action Paste, M&M's Brand Snack Mix, Reckitt Benckiser's Resolve All-Stains, Sun Products' Surf Liquid Laundry Detergent and GlaxoSmithKline's Tums Freshers were among the winners of Product of the Year USA's recently announced top products for 2013, the group said.

The named products were the result of a vote among 50,000 consumers.

NEW YORK — Coty and Puig S.L., a fashion and fragrance company, have mutually decided not to renew their distribution agreement in North America, which expires June 30. This decision is the end to a six-year partnership.

NEW YORK — Coty has announced the appointment of Marc Rey as president of Coty Prestige U.S. and regional VP of Coty Prestige North America, starting Jan. 2.

Among Rey's key responsibilities will be the current U.S. Coty Prestige portfolio, Coty Prestige Canada, Philosophy and Sephora key account responsibility for the Americas. He will report to Jean Mortier, president of Coty Prestige, and will be located in New York.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Reckitt Benckiser on Tuesday announced the appointment of Suzanne LoGalbo to the position of regulatory affairs director, Reckitt Benckiser North America.  

LoGalbo joins RB from Pfizer Consumer Health. While at Pfizer, LoGalbo most recently held the position of global regulatory portfolio lead worldwide regulatory strategy. Prior to Pfizer, Suzanne was the head of global regulatory affairs North America for Novartis Consumer Health. She has also held regulatory leadership roles at Polaris, Solvay, Arganon and Sandoz.  

NEW YORK — Bayer will not be raising its offer for Schiff Nutrition to match or exceed last week's bid from Reckitt Benckiser, Reuters reported Tuesday morning. 

Bayer's bid is still active, however, and is in discussions with Schiff to acquire the company for its original evaluation of $1.2 billion. Reckitt Benckiser bid $1.4 billion.

NEW YORK — Reckitt Benckiser on Friday made an offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of VMS maker Schiff Nutrition for $42 per share in cash, or approximately $1.4 billion — a premium of 23.5% more than the $34 per share offer Bayer HealthCare announced Oct. 30. 

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Reckitt Benckiser recently named Tiffany McLaud to the position of consumer healthcare marketing director. McLaud joins RB from Pfizer Consumer Healthcare where she held a number of senior positions, most recently as senior director of U.S. dietary supplements.

As RB's healthcare marketing director, McLaud will oversee the company's healthcare portfolio, including Mucinex, Delsym and Cepacol.
