Xcel Brands has signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with The Cloudbreak Group to develop, manufacture and distribute fragrance, bath and body, home fragrance and other related beauty products for the Isaac Mizrahi New York brand.

NEW YORK — Xcel Brands has signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with The Cloudbreak Group to develop, manufacture and distribute fragrance, bath and body, home fragrance and other related beauty products for the Isaac Mizrahi New York brand.

The signature fragrance will debut in fall 2012, launching in finer department stores domestically and in multiple International markets.

CINCINNATI — Following a European launch in 2009, Braun, a member of the P&G beauty and grooming family of brands, has announced the availability of the Braun Satin Hair brush in the United States.

Braun Satin Hair brush makes its exclusive debut in the United States on QVC on July 12. The brush has a suggested retail price of $65.

The battery-operated Braun Satin Hair brush combines Braun's Active Ion Technology, ­ which promises to give hair smoothness and shine, ­ with its Seamless Bristle Technology.

During the event, which began at midnight EST on March 17, QVC will offer jewelry, fashion, home decor and other products from Ireland-based brands. The world-renowned singing group Celtic Thunder also is scheduled to perform several times throughout the broadcast, the company reported.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Solazyme will launch its anti-aging skin care line through distribution at Sephora and QVC.

Algenist will be available in the United States on QVC and in 800-plus Sephora stores, as well as in seven countries throughout Europe, before expanding to Asia and the Middle East, Solazyme said.

Algenist will launch with four initial product offerings featuring alguronic acid, Solazyme’s breakthrough ingredient. The four products are:

Joining the company are Lori Mariano as VP marketing and Alyce Cucurullo as VP and general manager.

Mariano will be responsible for leading all marketing programs, branding and communications at Laura Geller Makeup. Previously, she has held senior management positions at such companies as L'Oreal, Coty and Mane USA.

The company has introduced Kleenex hand towels, disposable bathroom hand towels in a pop-up dispenser delivery system. The dispenser can be set upright on the bathroom vanity or hung upside on the towel rack.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for hand-washing recommend drying with a single-use towel—and Kimberly Clark’s sheets, which are free of inks, dyes and fragrance, are a first-of-their-kind solution.
