Americans surveyed believed it is important to know about product recalls, but they were not confident that they are getting adequate information delivered to them, the poll also revealed.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. McNeil Consumer Healthcare has pulled a lot of Tylenol off the market, following complaints of a musty odor.

McNeil said the uncharacteristic odor is thought to be caused by the presence of trace amounts of a chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole. The lot of Tylenol 8-Hour, 50-count bottles are part of lot number BCM155 and carry the following UPC code: 3 0045-0297-51 8.

NEW YORK Pfizer’s over-the-counter division recalled one lot of a ThermaCare product over the possibility of leaks.

 

Pfizer Consumer Healthcare announced Friday the voluntary recall of lot number E06931 of its ThermaCare HeatWraps Menstrual product and notified the Food and Drug Administration.

 

 

The company said possible leaks in the wraps could cause skin injury, such as irritation and burning.
