Pringles, a Kellogg's brand, announced a new twist on the Pringles potato chips, new Pringles Stix.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Pringles, a Kellogg's brand, announced today a new twist on the Pringles potato chips, new Pringles Stix.

Pringles Stix will be available in three varieties: Honey Butter, Pizza and Cheese.

Pringles Stix are available in an 8-count box of single-serve pouches or a 70-count resealable back of sticks. Each single serve pouch contains less than 100 calories.

They are available now on store shelves.

From May 15 through Oct. 31, Pringles-lovers can send in the original receipt from any four traditional-sized Pringles cans, and a portable Pringles Speaker will be mailed to them.

The speaker fits on top of an empty Pringles can and attaches to any personal MP3 player or similar music device, allowing consumers to carry it anywhere.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Kellogg's announced that it has completed its acquisition of Procter & Gamble's Pringles business, a deal valued at nearly $2.7 billion.

The transaction, which was first announced in mid-February, further strengthens Kellogg's competitive position in global snacks as it nearly triples the size of the company's international snacks business, with Pringles sales totaling $1.5 billion across more than 140 countries.

Pringles has teamed up with the United Service Organizations this Memorial Day to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Pringles has teamed up with the United Service Organizations this Memorial Day to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

As part of its "Taste of Home" campaign, Pringles said it will support the USO by delivering than 43,000 free cans of Pringles to USO Centers, which will be distributed to troops deployed around the world in appreciation of their service. What's more, specially wrapped Pringles cans will be sold at Walmart stores nationwide.

Procter & Gamble unveiled a larger than expected cost-savings program that involves cutting a total of 5,700 nonmanufacturing jobs in an effort to trim costs by the end of fiscal 2016, said P&G CEO Bob McDonald during the company’s annual Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble unveiled a larger than expected cost-savings program that involves cutting a total of 5,700 nonmanufacturing jobs in an effort to trim costs by the end of fiscal 2016, said P&G CEO Bob McDonald during the company’s annual Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

According to published reports, the cuts represent about 10% of P&G’s nonmanufacturing jobs. P&G has about 57,000 nonmanufacturing employees among its total workforce of about 129,000.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Kellogg's is fortifying its snacks business by purchasing Procter & Gamble's Pringles business for nearly $2.7 billion.

The companies expect to complete the transaction in the summer of 2012, pending necessary regulatory approvals.

The announcement follows last year's agreement between P&G and Diamond Foods through which Diamond Foods would acquire Pringles for $2.35 billion. The deal was delayed "to allow Diamond Foods to complete an accounting investigation."

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble announced that the completion of its deal to sell the Pringles brand to Diamond Foods has been pushed back to June 2012.

The transaction, which initially was expected to close this December, was delayed "to allow Diamond Foods to complete an accounting investigation." P&G said it remains committed to the transaction and noted that the timing of the deal would not affect P&G's planned restructuring.

The deal, announced in April, is valued at $2.35 billion.
