ORLANDO, Fla. — Intelligent Global Pooling Systems said it has helped customers save more than $100 million since the company entered the market in 2006.

iGPS — an operator of the world’s first pallet rental service to provide lightweight, 100% recyclable plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification tags — said its savings counter, located on the company's website, clicked over to nine digits last Saturday morning.

A subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson is recalling several batches of an HIV drug after reports of a strange odor that may have come from the shipping pallets.

HIGH WYCOMBE, United Kingdom — A subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson is recalling several batches of an HIV drug after reports of a strange odor that may have come from the shipping pallets.

Janssen-Cilag International said it would recall five lots of Prezista (darunavir) due to consumer reports of a musty or moldy smell coming from them. The odor is believed to result from traces of the chemical TBA, which is used in the construction of the pallets. The recalled lots were found in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and Austria.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Ken's Foods will utilize all-plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification tags developed by Intelligent Global Pooling Systems, iGPS announced.

Ken's Foods, which produces and packages more than 400 varieties of dressings and sauces, said iGPS' solution aids the company in its sustainability efforts.

ORLANDO, Fla. Intelligent Global Pooling Systems has developed a pallet rental service providing 100% recyclable all-plastic pallets with embedded radio frequency identification tags.

 

iGPS bios will offer premier hygiene and secure pallets, ideal for those in the pharmaceutical and life science industries, as well as savings for a company's bottom line, iGPS said. Each pallet is individually washed and sanitized at an iGPS facility, then immediately enclosed in protective wrapping to maintain its hygienic condition, the company added.

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. McNeil Consumer Healthcare on Thursday issued yet another recall of 21 lots of over-the-counter medicines. This action is a follow-up to a product recall that McNeil originally announced on Jan. 15, which was initiated following consumer complaints of a musty or moldy odor, which has been linked to the presence of trace amounts of a chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole.
