NEW YORK — OPI has announced the launch of six limited-edition nail lacquers and a new Liquid Sand shade, inspired by Disney’s "Oz The Great and Powerful" film that opens in theaters on March 8, 2013.

NEW YORK — Nicole by OPI is launching new fall shades of nail lacquer exclusively at Target this fall.

“Nicole by OPI is excited to bring the fashion-forward Target guest new lacquers for the fall season,” stated Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI EVP and artistic director. “Not only do the shades add the final touch to runway trends, the shimmery finish [also] adds elegance and depth to these trendy colors.”

NEW YORK — This holiday season, OPI is paying homage to America’s Muppet friends as they hit the big screen in Disney’s “The Muppets” with a limited-edition collection of Muppet-inspired nail lacquers available beginning in November at nail salons, Ulta and JCPenney.

With an all-star cast, including Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Kermit, Miss Piggy and the entire Muppet crew, the comedy opens in theaters nationwide on Nov. 23. 

LOS ANGELES — OPI has teamed up with the Miss Universe Organization to unveil a new collection of nail lacquer shades.

Miss Universe by OPI includes the following high-shine lacquers:

• Congeniality is My Middle Name, a berry-wine shimmer;

• It's My Year, a champagne-rose shade;

LOS ANGELES — OPI Products has inked a deal with the Miss Universe Organization to launch the Miss Universe Collection, with colors to be revealed June 14 in Las Vegas at a special event surrounding the 2011 Miss USA Pageant.

The reigning Miss USA, Rima Fakih; Miss Universe, Ximena Navarrete; and the Miss USA contestants will help OPI unveil the Miss Universe Collection at a private reception at Color, A Salon by Michael Boychuck at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

NEW YORK — New swashbuckling colors are on the horizon as OPI gears up to launch a new, limited-edition nail lacquer collection based on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film franchise.

In line with the premiere of the franchise's latest film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," OPI has developed six new nail lacquers, including a new Shatter polish, which leaves behind a crackled, two-texture silver finish when painted over any dry OPI hue.

NEW YORK — It's official. Coty, whose brands include Sally Hansen nail care products, has announced plans to acquire OPI Products, a maker of professional nail salon products.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will bolster Coty's color cosmetic portfolio by adding more than 200 shades of OPI Nail Lacquer's chip-resistant formula.
