NEW YORK — Nicole by OPI is launching new fall shades of nail lacquer exclusively at Target this fall.

“Nicole by OPI is excited to bring the fashion-forward Target guest new lacquers for the fall season,” stated Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI EVP and artistic director. “Not only do the shades add the final touch to runway trends, the shimmery finish [also] adds elegance and depth to these trendy colors.”

The richly pigmented formulas come in shimmering shades of deep blue, gold, purple, mauve and green.

Tennis champion Serena Williams joined OPI co-founder Suzi Weiss-Fischmann at a New York City event on Aug. 25 to officially launch the final series of nail lacquers in her Glam Slam! by OPI promotion, which kicked off earlier this year.

The fragrance debuted in June in partnership with Give Back Brands, a new lifestyle products company committed to donating its proceeds to charity. The fragrance is hitting select specialty stores in June and reportedly will be priced between $35 and $55.

The reigning Miss USA, Rima Fakih; Miss Universe, Ximena Navarrete; and the Miss USA contestants will help OPI unveil the Miss Universe Collection at a private reception at Color, A Salon by Michael Boychuck at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Nicole by OPI has announced that it will reissue its sold-out One Less Lonely Girl nail lacquer shades, inspired by the songs and fans of pop star Justin Bieber.

LOS ANGELES — Nicole by OPI has announced that it will reissue its sold-out One Less Lonely Girl nail lacquer shades, inspired by the songs and fans of pop star Justin Bieber.

With more than 1 million bottles sold since the December 2010 launch, Nicole by OPI plans to ship triple this number to meet consumer demand.

Coty brushes up nail care portfolio with OPI acquisition

It's official. Coty, whose brands include Sally Hansen nail care products, has announced plans to acquire OPI Products, a maker of professional nail salon products.

NEW YORK — It's official. Coty, whose brands include Sally Hansen nail care products, has announced plans to acquire OPI Products, a maker of professional nail salon products.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition will bolster Coty's color cosmetic portfolio by adding more than 200 shades of OPI Nail Lacquer's chip-resistant formula.

NEW YORK There's talk that nail polish company OPI Products is looking to sell itself for at least $900 million, according to a Wall Street Journal report.

OPI reportedly is in discussions with several parties, including Coty and private-equity firm Bain Capital, according to WSJ, which cited "people familiar with the matter."

Harris Shepard Public Relations, which represents OPI, stated: "The rumors about the sale of OPI have persisted for years. Other than that, [we] have no comment. Thank you."
