MIAMI and PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Regional pharmacy chain Navarro Discount Pharmacy, which operates 31 locations in south Florida, is supplying pink prescription bottle caps on all prescriptions filled during the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the company has announced.

“As a community pharmacy, we are focused on supporting activities that educate women, families and children about a variety of health issues,” stated Albert Garcia, EVP pharmacy operations at Navarro Discount Pharmacy.

WASHINGTON — Look Good Feel Better has announced the details of multiple new partnership programs being launched to support the Look Good Feel Better program during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Each partnership provides financial and/or educational support for the program and its mission to help people with cancer regain their appearance, sense of self and some normalcy while battling cancer.

TAMPA, Fla. — October is breast cancer awareness month and, for a second year in a row, Not Your Mother’s hair care brand has selected to donate 10% of all its online sales during the month to the Young Survival Coalition. CARLISLE, Pa. — Giant Food Stores is marking National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating more than $25,000 to organizations that address the disease, the Royal Ahold-owned supermarket chain said.

CINCINNATI — Kroger has committed $3 million in donations for local breast cancer initiatives across the country to support National Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, the grocer announced Monday.

"We are honored that so many of our courageous associates are willing to share their experiences as breast cancer survivors," stated David Dillon, Kroger's chairman and CEO. "Their inspirational stories educate and encourage others to better care for each other and their own health."

HAYWARD, Calif. — Prince of Peace Enterprises on Monday announced its sponsorship of the 2011 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Global, taking place in Washington, D.C., June 4 at the Capitol Mall in support of its external analgesic Tiger Balm.

The global Race for the Cure is among the largest of the Susan G. Komen races. Last year, 42,000 participants from 128 different countries came together to raise funds for breast cancer education, outreach and treatment. This year, organizers are expecting an even higher number of participants, Prince of Peace stated.

CINCINNATI Procter & Gamble will sell limited-edition "pink" products at Target and will distribute a special edition of its BrandSaver coupon booklet to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
