DENVER and MONTREAL — Molson Coors has expanded its board of directors with the addition of two independent directors.

Yum! Brands COO Roger Eaton and National Bank of Canada president, director and CEO Louis Vachon replace retiring directors John Cleghorn and David O'Brien. With the appointment of Eaton and Vachon, the Molson Coors board of directors is comprised of 14 directors.

DENVER, Colo. — Molson Coors has rolled out new products and packaging innovations.

In the United States, the company has introduced the caramel apple spiced ale under its Blue Moon brand and will roll out such brews as lemon berry shandy and snowdrift vanilla porter from Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. during the fall and winter. What's more, the company's MillerCoors division is rolling out Batch 19, a pre-Prohibition style lager, nationwide.

NEW YORK — Molson Coors is slated to launch new beers in 2012, according to published reports.

Coors Light Iced T will go on sale first in Canada ahead of a possible rollout in the United States, according to Reuters. In 2011, Coors Light became the nation’s second-biggest beer brand, surpassing Budweiser for the first time ever, according to MillerCoors CEO Tom Long. What's more, the company also will launch Carling Zest, a limited-time-only beer with citrus flavors, as well as an autumn-inspired Leinenkugels beer.

Molson Coors has combined two senior positions on its executive leadership team into one.

DENVER — Molson Coors has combined two senior positions on its executive leadership team into one.

The company said its chief legal officer Samuel Walker now will serve as chief people and legal officer. Molsons Coors' current chief people officer, Ralph Hargrow, is stepping down from his role to pursue other career opportunities.

Walker has served as VP and global chief legal officer since the merger of Molson and Coors in 2005. Previously, he was U.S. and worldwide chief legal officer and group VP at Coors Brewing Co. since 2002.

DENVER, Colo. — Molson Coors' Andrew Molson and Pete Coors have switched roles.

The brewing company said that Molson, the company's current vice chairman, has assumed the role of chairman, while Coors, its current chairman, has stepped in as vice chairman. The planned transition is consistent with the company's by-laws, which allow the chairman and vice chairman to alternate between the Molson and Coors families every two years.

MillerCoors on Wednesday said that it is promoting its current chief commercial officer, Tom Long, to CEO, following the retirement of current CEO Leo Kiely, who will leave his post June 1.

Brian Goldner, president and CEO of Hasbro, joined Molson Coors' board, effective immediately. Goldner is the ninth independent director following a search to replace Pam Patsley, who stepped down as a director in December 2009. The Molson Coors board of directors is comprised of 14 directors.
