ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Looking to help women battle fine and thinning hair, Dr. Lawrence Samuels, chief of Dermatology at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis and founder of skin and hair care product line Rx Systems PF, has formulated a line of hair-volumizing products and supplements called D-Fine.

The products are designed to repair damaged hair strands, deliver nourishment and moisture to the hair and scalp, and build healthier, more voluminous hair.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Hy-Vee will serve as the official grocer and tailgate pit stop of the Kansas Speedway, the supermarket chain said Monday.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease are frequently overtreated in infants, according to a new study by researchers in Michigan and Missouri.

The study, published online Monday in the journal Pediatrics, found that doctors often diagnose such common symptoms in infants as crying and spitting up as disease, and frequent diagnoses of GERD can lead to overuse of medications to treat it, said the researchers at the University of Michigan and the University of Missouri.

 DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens on Monday announced that it has completed its purchase of 144 stores operating under the USA Drug, Super D Drug, May’s Drug, Med-X and Drug Warehouse banners located in Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

The acquisition also includes corporate offices, a distribution center located in Pine Bluff, Ark., and a wholesale and private brand business, for a total of approximately $438 million subject to adjustment in certain circumstances.
