REDMOND, Wash. — Crossmark has launched a self-service data portal that it said would deliver business insights in real time to manufacturer and retail clients in the consumer goods industry.

The portal, which uses the Microsoft SQL Server Parallel Data Workhouse, provides sales and marketing channels with access to real-time market data, allowing them to analyze and take advantage of market trends faster than before, the company said.

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. — Innovation’s PharmAssist Symphony pharmacy workflow system has received certification from Microsoft for applications running on Windows Server 2008 R2, Innovation said Friday.

The pharmacy automation company said the system was independently tested to meet the software giant’s standards for security, stability, availability, reliability and compatibility with the operating system.

The company said the certification built on its Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program.

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. About one month after announcing its movie rental milestone, Redbox reportedly also is offering video game enthusiasts the chance to rent games from its kiosks.

Redbox offers video game rentals for such systems as Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation PS2 and PS3, and Microsoft Xbox 360. The price to rent the video games currently is $2 per day, according to published reports.

It is a curse because these can be very difficult decisions to make; beyond which stories make the lineup, there is always the issue of how much of the story we choose to run. After all, a page only holds so many lines of copy.

BOCA RATON, Fla. More consumers will be able to store medication history online using Microsoft’s HealthVault under a new partnership between Microsoft and Chain Drug Consortium.

 

“We are excited to partner with Microsoft to provide our members’ consumers security-enhanced access to their personal health records using Microsoft’s new electronic health platform technology,” Chain Drug Consortium president and chief executive officer Edward Frisch said.
