WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark announced on Friday that it has agreed to pay $17.5 million, to be allocated among the federal government and 10 participating states, to resolve a civil complaint concerning how its CVS/pharmacy retail pharmacies submitted reimbursement claims in certain states for prescriptions filled for "dual eligible" patients who have coverage under both Medicaid and a third-party insurance plan.

New Eggo FiberPlus waffles offer a satisfying 35% of the daily recommended value in every serving, Kellogg's said. The new waffles will be available in buttermilk and chocolate chip varieties.

ALLEGAN, Mich. — Perrigo on Tuesday announced that the Detroit office of the Food and Drug Administration has concluded its re-inspection of Perrigo's Allegan facility.

The FDA has informed Perrigo that, effective immediately, Perrigo has an acceptable regulatory status, such that any pending export license and abbreviated new drug applications from this facility will once again be eligible for review and approval.

ALLEGAN, Mich. — Perrigo on Wednesday named Tony Schott VP diabetes care for the consumer healthcare division.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Midwest retailer announced it would invest $75 million in a major remodel project that would benefit stores in two states.

Meijer said 10 stores in Michigan and Ohio would benefit from the initiative. The retailer projected that the remodeling program would be completed by the end of the year.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Kellogg's has teamed up with nonprofit and volunteer network Action for Healthy Kids to launch the Share Your Breakfast program, designed to encourage Americans to help children who might otherwise go without breakfast.
