Thrifty White Pharmacy has announced the introduction of the Rx Timer Cap, which it is giving away for free to each pharmacy patient who enrolls in the Ready Refill or Medication Synchronization programs.

PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Thrifty White Pharmacy — which operates more than 80 locations in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Montana and Wisconsin — has announced the introduction of the Rx Timer Cap, which it is giving away for free to each pharmacy patient who enrolls in the Ready Refill or Medication Synchronization programs. Additional Rx Timer Caps may be purchased at any Thrifty White location.

Effective immediately, Rite Aid stores will accept the UnivisionFarmacia card, distributed by a partnership between media company Univision Enterprises, EnvisionRxOptions and HolaDoctor. The UnivisionFarmacia network includes more than 32,000 pharmacies around the country. Members receive discounts of up to 85% on generic drugs, with an average savings of 40% across brand and generic drugs, the group said.

Everybody loves a comeback story, and it looks as though the pharmacy retail industry has one of its own in the making as Rite Aid’s latest earnings report showed another strong quarter for the Camp Hill, Pa.-based chain, which has been steadily growing its sales and narrowing its losses for several quarters already.

Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company, announced the availability of Sorilux foam by prescription.

LONDON — Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company, announced the availability of Sorilux foam by prescription.

The product is a topical treatment of plaque psoriasis in patients ages 18 years or older. Sorilux foam utilizes VersaFoam technology. VersaFoam-AEF (aqueous-based emulsion formulation) is free of ethanol, preservatives, parabens and fragrance, Stiefel said. The company also noted the foam is the only vitamin D3 analog treatment in a topical foam formulation.
