The new solution is designed to provide clinicians convenient access to medication cost-savings offers and adherence support through a patented web-based platform.

MPRS was honored with a Medical Marketing and Media Award for the company's Lap-Band Behavioral Call Campaign on behalf of Ogilvy Healthworld. The MM&M Awards are a premier industry event that annually recognizes creativity and marketing effectiveness in health care.

McKesson was named a finalist by MM&M in the "Best Use of Direct Marketing to Consumers" category for its "Lap-Band Behavioral Call" campaign on behalf of Ogilvy Healthworld and Allergan. The MM&M Awards annually recognize creativity and marketing effectiveness in health care.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Changes in healthcare consumption, advances in technology and support from pharmacists are among seven new trends that could affect programs designed to improve medication adherence, according to a new study by McKesson.

The company said the trends confirmed what it called the need for comprehensive adherence solutions that include technology and personalized interactions to help physicians, pharmacists and manufacturers address issues that keep patients from taking their medications as prescribed.
