Beginning late summer through early fall, consumers that purchase the film will receive two free bottles of H2O's spring water at point of purchase from participating retailers nationwide.

TOKYO — Japanese cosmetics company Pola Orbis Holdings plans to acquire H2O Plus, a privately held developer, manufacturer and marketer of prestige, branded marine-based natural skin care products for the face and body.

Headquartered in Chicago, H2O Plus is majority-owned by investment companies Cordova, Smart & Williams and New MainStream Capital, as well as Robert Seidl and other members of senior management.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in July.

Following its test run at Walmart, the brand now is available in 1,500 Walmart locations. In March 2011, Ulta brought in the line to all of its nearly 400 locations. Also carrying the collection are several regional retailers, such as Lowes Foods, Schnucks, King Kullen, Hi-School Pharmacy, Navarro Discount Pharmacy, Dierbergs, Acme Fresh Markets and Bag n Save.

CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble has announced a new advertising campaign for its Pantene hair care brand, featuring actresses Eva Mendes and Naomi Watts.

Beginning in July, both women will appear in all elements of the brand's marketing campaign, including TV and print advertising, in-store displays, iMedia and public relations campaigns.

Mendes will support the Breakage to Strength collection, while Watts will support the Flat to Volume collection.

My Idol Pops is rolling out licensed confections based on the upcoming 3-D movie "The Smurfs."

LOS ANGELES — My Idol Pops is rolling out licensed confections through its My Idolpops line based on the upcoming 3-D movie "The Smurfs."

The beloved blue characters, including Clumsy, Smurfette, Papa and Brainy, are captured in My Idolpops hand-crafted lollipops. The 1-oz. lollipops are wrapped in a bag bearing the colorful image of each Smurf character and displayed in a four-color playful display box of 24. The pops also are available in peg-hook bags of two pops each.

"The Smurfs" is slated for theatrical release on July 29.

Insight said that e.p.t. will join other Insight brands, including Sucrets, Nix, Bonine and Gentle Naturals. As the first FDA-approved, commercially available home pregnancy test, e.p.t. aligns with Insight's strategy to build "a significant portfolio of OTC and personal care products," Insight's CEO Gary Downing said.

The Blu-ray edition of the film includes audio commentary by director Norman Jewison and star Topol, as well as a deleted song, featurettes and historical background.

Consumers also have been waiting until the last minute to shop. “As the economy gets better, retailers should be careful about too many promotions late in the season,” James said.
