MEMPHIS, Tenn. A relaxation beverage's retail distribution is being expanded to select stores in the mid-Atlantic region.

Frontier Beverage will distribute Unwind with the help of its newest partner, The Honickman Organization, to select stores in Virginia; Maryland; Washington, D.C.; Delaware; eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.

Unwind's recently debuted sleek, 12-oz. lightly carbonated cans contain 40 calories and only 10 g of sugar.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —More relaxation drinks are trickling into the market. The beverages, designed to be stress-reducing, have become popular with consumers looking for an anti-energy choice. The drinks were named a top trend for 2010 on both “The View” and “Good Morning America.”

February was a busy month for CVS Caremark. First it was a party on Beale Street as the chain announced its entry into Memphis. A week later, it broke out the pina coladas as it cut the ribbon on its first store in Puerto Rico. In January, it was Budweiser in St. Louis.

There are just eight states in which CVS does not operate stores: Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. In drug store retailing, being able to provide coverage “from sea to shining sea” means a lot when you try to sell your services to big healthcare payers.
