In a shot that made the rounds Friday on ESPN and other sports shows, Miami Heat fan Michael Drysch drained a half-court shot in the Carmex Half-Court Hero contest, netting $75,000 and getting tackled by Miami Heat superstar LeBron James.

MIAMI — In a shot that made the rounds Friday on ESPN and other sports shows, Miami Heat fan Michael Drysch drained a half-court shot in the Carmex Half-Court Hero contest, netting $75,000 and getting tackled by Miami Heat superstar LeBron James. 

In addition to winning $75,000 for himself, Drysch also scored a $75,000 donation for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Lebron James Family Foundation.

NEW YORK — PureBrands on Tuesday announced its national Facebook competition to search for the brand's next commercial for its Sheets Energy Strips, to be judged by brand partner LeBron James of the NBA.

Beginning Dec. 13, entrants will have 45 days to submit their creative take on Sheets' advertising campaign through the Sheets Facebook page, and the winning commercial will have their spot aired on national television and in movie theaters nationwide in 2012.

NEW YORK — PureBrands on Tuesday announced the introduction of Sheets-branded automated kiosks that will be placed in high-profile areas across the country, including malls, office buildings, stadiums and arenas in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida.

The kiosks will feature Sheets Energy Strips, a brand promoted by the NBA's LeBron James, as well as Sheets-branded hats and t-shirts. The kiosks also will feature two plasma screens embedded in the machine that allows for messaging to change daily.

NEW YORK — "A new way to do energy" has hit the market.

Sheets — a brand co-developed by basketball star LeBron James, along with PureBrands CEO Warren Struhl and co-founders Jesse Itzler and Maverick Carter — are individually wrapped, paper-thin dissolving strips that tout the same amount of caffeine as a cup of premium coffee in one small strip, which is about 100 mg, without containing any sugar or calories, the company said.
