QS/1 said it received Electronic Prescriptions for Control Substances certification, making it one of the first pharmacy vendors to certify for EPCS in the 10.6 Script Standard.

NEW YORK — Coty Inc.’s long-awaited initial public offering is reportedly set to launch with shares to trade on Thursday, according to published reports.

The $1 billion-plus IPO is expected to be a hit, bankers reportedly said. The beauty company will not get any money from the IPO. Majority owner Joh. A. Benckiser will be selling a stake worth $806 million at the upper end of the expected price range, according to reports. Private-equity firms Berkshire Partners and Rhone Capital are selling equal stakes worth $126 million at the upper range.

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid will offer free informational resources in its stores and online on summer skin care, as well as sponsoring a cross-country tour offering full-body skin cancer screenings, the drug store chain said Wednesday.

Rite Aid is partnering with the Skin Cancer Foundation for the program, which will last through July. A study published in the June edition of the Annals of Internal Medicine indicated that proper sun protection can keep skin looking younger as well as healthier.

Shopko will open five small-format stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin, the mass merchandise retailer said.

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Shopko will open five small-format stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin, the mass merchandise retailer said.

The five Shopko Hometown stores will be in Afton, Wyo., St. Peter, Minn., and Winneconne, Ellsworth and Tomahawk, Wis. The stores are expected to open in late fall. The Shopko Hometown format is designed to serve smaller, rural communities and augment the chain's larger stores and will total 181 out of the chain's more than 330 total stores once the new stores are completed.

Sales for the quarter ended May 4 rose about 23% to $582.7 million, compared with $474.1 million in the year-ago period. Same-store sales increased 6.7%, including the impact of e-commerce sales.

The Seattle Times reported that the online retailer would offer a free, 90-day trial to AmazonPrime members in several parts of Los Angeles of same-day and early-morning delivery, allowing them to receive items like fresh foods, in addition to toys, electronics and half a million other items. The grocery delivery service has been in testing in Seattle for almost six years.

SmartPhoto Express includes features like selection of photos from the camera roll, selection of print size, editing and enhancement of photos, and multiple prints. The company said same-day pickup of photo prints was currently available at nationwide locations of the second-largest drug store chain in the United States.
