L'Oréal USA has introduced a new app for owners of a device that allows them to use tablet-like apps on television through an Internet connection.

NEW YORK — L'Oréal USA has introduced a new app for owners of a device that allows them to use tablet-like apps on television through an Internet connection.

The cosmetics maker announced the launch of OnBeauty, which it created under a partnership with Roku and Brightline. Roku created the app for users of connected TV, or CTV, and L'Oréal said OnBeauty would be the go-to beauty hub for CTV users. The app will feature a majority of L'Oréal USA's brands.

L'Oréal USA has been on an aggressive path in growing its digital business during the last several years as it continues to be an increasing part of its media mix. The 2013 L2 Digital Index was recently released showing L'Oréal USA brands in the top three in beauty in the Genius Category. These included Lancome, Kiehl's Since 1851 and L'Oreal Paris.

Schake will represent L'Oréal USA for all corporate communications and will lead the external communications strategy in the areas of public and media relations, industry and government relations, sustainability and crisis communications.

NEW YORK — L'Oréal USA president and CEO Frederic Roze announced on Monday that Kristina Schake will be joining L'Oréal USA as chief communications officer, effective July 8.  

Schake will represent L'Oréal USA for all corporate communications and will lead the external communications strategy in the areas of public and media relations, industry and government relations, sustainability and crisis communications. In addition, Schake will oversee the company's corporate philanthropic programs.

This initiative allows young women to learn practical workplace skills and to shadow professional women in their chosen careers for one week during spring semester break.

NEW YORK L'Oreal USA has announced the promotion of An Verhulst-Santos, president of the U.S. professional products division, to managing director of the L'Oreal professional products division worldwide, effective Jan. 1, 2011.

Former brand president of L'Oreal USA's professional products division, Pat Parenty, will succeed Verhulst-Santos, effective in October, and will report to Frederic Roze, president and CEO of L'Oreal USA.
