When it comes to making lifestyle choices, those who take dietary supplements seem to make healthier choices overall, compared with those who do not take dietary supplements, according to the most recent CRN Consumer Survey on Dietary Supplements from Ipsos Public Affairs on behalf of the Council for Responsible Nutrition.

WASHINGTON — When it comes to making lifestyle choices, those who take dietary supplements seem to make healthier choices overall, compared with those who do not take dietary supplements, according to the most recent CRN Consumer Survey on Dietary Supplements from Ipsos Public Affairs on behalf of the Council for Responsible Nutrition.  

Consistent with years past, the survey found that 68% of U.S. adults take dietary supplements, and those supplement users are more likely than non-supplement users to also engage in certain other healthy habits.

The bi-monthly magazine, which aids its readers in their weight loss goals through cooking, nutrition, health, fashion and beauty articles, is affiliated with the Weight Watchers weight loss program and boasts a readership of 9.8 million readers.

 WASHINGTON — As many as 68% of American adults take nutritional or dietary supplements, according to an annual consumer survey conducted on behalf of the Council for Responsible Nutrition. Regular supplement usage also remains steady. The online survey found that more than three-quarters of supplement users (76%) classify themselves as “regular” users, as opposed to occasional users (18%) or seasonal users (6%).

WASHINGTON — When it comes to healthy habits, dietary supplement users appear to make healthier lifestyle choices overall than nonusers, according to a recent study by the Council for Responsible Nutrition released Thursday.

According to the most recent CRN Consumer Survey on Dietary Supplements, supplement users engage in the following healthy habits in higher percentages than do those who don’t take vitamins, minerals and other supplements:

  • “I try to eat a balanced diet.” Supplement users, 84%; nonsupplement users, 76%;
