NBA star Carmelo Anthony, now the new corporate spokesman for ethnic hair care company Johnson Products Co., made a rare personal appearance on behalf of JPC’s new men’s grooming line, Ultra Sheen Men, at a Walmart supercenter in Union City, Ga., on Sept. 17.

UNION CITY, Ga. — NBA star Carmelo Anthony, now the new corporate spokesman for ethnic hair care company Johnson Products Co., made a rare personal appearance on behalf of JPC’s new men’s grooming line, Ultra Sheen Men, at a Walmart supercenter in Union City, Ga., on Sept. 17.

During the debut of CarmeloLIVE, customers were able to meet Anthony in person and had the opportunity to win prizes and receive free haircuts at the Ultra Sheen Men Grooming Lounge.

NEW YORK — Ethnic hair care brand Johnson Products is sponsoring this Memorial Day weekend Spring Fest 2011 in Miami and will promote its Ultra Sheen Men product line at the festival.

Known as Radio One's Annual Birthday Bash, the festival features some of the hottest acts in hip-hop, reggae and R&B. Targeted to the "urban gentleman," defined as a trendsetting man with style and swagger, JPC plans to shine a spotlight on Ultra Sheen Men during Spring Fest 2011 by promoting its products and its "Step Up Your Game" mantra to festival attendees.

DALLAS — Ethnic hair care company Johnson Products Co. has announced that it is the official U.S. hair care partner for Sony Pictures' comedy "Jumping the Broom," which opens in theaters May 6.

JPC is using its newest hair care line, Ultra Care, a moisture maintenance and relaxer line, to support the comedy about two African-American families from divergent socioeconomic backgrounds who come together one weekend in Martha's Vineyard for a wedding. The film features actors Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, Laz Alonso and Loretta Divine.

NEW YORK — Ethnic hair care brand Johnson Products has inked a multiyear deal with NBA star Carmelo Anthony to be the corporate spokesman, lending his voice and celebrity status to the Ultra Sheen Men line.

The deal will feature Anthony in advertising and promotional campaigns, cause-marketing and community outreach programs, as well as in personal appearances for JPC and Ultra Sheen Men. Anthony also will be involved in the development of innovative new grooming products for JPC.

NEW YORK Ethnic hair care manufacturer Johnson Products Co. has announced the launch of its new touch-up relaxer system and maintenance line called Ultra Care.

The company also is using the launch of Ultra Care to lead the ethnic hair care market in producing an environmentally responsible product that uses eco-friendly resins and recyclable packaging.

Ultra Care is made with a moisture blend complex, which features a blend of castor, coconut and avocado oils to battle dryness and hair breakage.
