A Barre, Vt., pharmacist has been named Kinney Drugs' top pharmacist, the regional chain announced Monday.

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. — A Barre, Vt., pharmacist has been named Kinney Drugs' top pharmacist, the regional chain announced Monday.

Kinney, which operates 99 stores in central and northern New York and adjacent areas of Vermont, named Tracey Rossi as its 2013 Favorite Pharmacist of the Year, based on customer votes from all of the chain's stores.

Kinney Drugs announced the appointment of Jim Spencer to president. Prior to the announcement, Spencer had served as COO.

Gouverneur, N.Y. — Kinney Drugs Inc. announced today the appointment of Jim Spencer to president. Prior to the announcement, Spencer had served as COO.

In this expanded role, Spencer will be responsible for the total customer experience and strategic growth of the company's retail drug stores. In addition to overseeing pharmacy and retail operations, marketing and merchandising, he will assume oversight responsibilities for company logistics. Spencer will continue to report to Bridget-ann Hart, R.Ph., president of Kinney healthcare services.

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. — Regional player Kinney Drugs, which operates operates 95 stores in central and northern New York and Vermont, announced on Thursday that Jim Wuest, VP marketing, plans to retire at the end of the year.  
 


Wuest joined Kinney Drugs in 2006, and has been an active member of the executive team and an influential part of the company’s success over the years. He is an industry veteran whose contributions as VP marketing have been paramount to the advancement of Kinney’s marketing and merchandising strategies, the company stated.

Kinney Drugs announced on Tuesday that Jim Spencer, formerly VP retail operations, has been promoted to COO.

GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. — Kinney Drugs announced on Tuesday that Jim Spencer, formerly VP retail operations, has been promoted to COO.

He will report to Bridget-ann Hart, president of Kinney Healthcare Services. In his new position, Spencer is responsible for overseeing retail and pharmacy store operations and the retail merchandising department. He is responsible for the ongoing development of pharmacy and retail services.
