"We are proud of our growth and success of these brands, and we feel that this acquisition will further our mission to deliver the best U.S.-made products globally," said John Ohanian, general manager and president of Leosons. "The acquisition … will broaden our existing sales and distribution reach, as well as bring scale to our business.”

LANGHORNE, Pa. — Insight Pharmaceuticals has launched a mobile application for its E.P.T. brand.

The new E.P.T. ovulation calculator features an easy-to-use interface that's designed to help users who are trying to get pregnant know when they are most fertile, or simply keep track of their menstrual cycle, the company said. The app — which currently is available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, and supports Apple iOS 5 — also comes with 35 fertility tips and is equipped to provide email or calendar reminders on the day before expected ovulation.

LANGHORNE, Pa. — Insight Pharmaceuticals is voluntarily recalling one lot of a nasal decongestant due to the possibility of bacterial contamination, the company said.

Insight said it would recall lot number 11G075, UPC code 6373673005, of Nostrilla nasal spray to the consumer level because of possible contamination with Burkholderia cepacia bacteria. The lot, which contains 34,092 bottles, was distributed nationwide to retail outlets.

Insight Pharmaceuticals is strengthening its portfolio of over-the-counter products with its acquisition of a popular at-home pregnancy test.

LANGHORNE, Pa. — Insight Pharmaceuticals is strengthening its portfolio of over-the-counter products with its acquisition of a popular at-home pregnancy test.

Insight said that e.p.t. will join other Insight brands, including Sucrets, Nix, Bonine and Gentle Naturals. As the first FDA-approved, commercially available home pregnancy test, e.p.t. aligns with Insight's strategy to build "a significant portfolio of OTC and personal care products," Insight's CEO Gary Downing said.
