The product joins the brand's perfume- and dye-free laundry detergent. Both variants are compatible in high-efficiency machines and standard washing machines.

NEW YORK — Colgate-Palmolive has completed its acquisition of a personal care brand from Unilever for about $952 million.

Colgate-Palmolive said its acquisition of Sanex, a premium-priced personal care brand with a distinct positioning around healthy skin and strong market share positions in Europe, will enhance the company's positions in the shower gel and deodorant categories in the region.

The company's agreement to purchase Sanex from Unilever was announced in March.

The company said that its Soft, Classic and Hard Rock formulas will feature a new scent and packaging. The company said it is replacing one of its original scents, called Plain Green Tea's, with a scent called Earth, Wind and Orchids. What's more, the standard packaging for the laundry detergents have been redesigned with a new look and also will use less material.
