QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — Knauss Foods has set its sights on the beef jerky market with the launch of PJ's Beef Steak.

Knauss Foods, a producer of dried beef products, said its new product is a healthy, all-natural, protein-packed meat snack made from the highest-quality lean cuts of 100% beef and is slow cooked without any artificial preservatives. PJ's Beef Steak currently is available in original, cracked pepper and teriyaki flavors.

A beef jerky brand is expanding its Sasquatch snacks line with a large beef steak product.

MINONG, Wis. — A beef jerky brand is expanding its Sasquatch snacks line with a large beef steak product.

Jack Link's Beefy Jerky said its new Sasquatch Big Steak boasts more than 16 in. in length and is available in Angry (original) and Zen (teriyaki) flavors.

The Sasquatch Big Steaks are available for $2.99 per 2.4-oz. steak. The Sasquatch Big Sticks, which launched last year, are available for $2.49 per 2.2-oz. stick.

MINONG, Wis. — Jack Link’s Beef Jerky announced its sponsorship of the nation's largest bike scavenger hunt.

The beef jerky brand said it would be the presenting sponsor of the New Belgium Brewing Urban Assault Ride, which is a bike race/obstacle course. The event is open to anyone ages 7 years or older and includes such team divisions as coed, male, female and family, with prizes awarded to the top three teams in each division.

The 2011 Urban Assault Ride will take place in the following locations:

  • March 20 in Tucson, Ariz.;

MINONG, Wis. Jack Link's Matador brand is amplifying its meat snack lineup with a flamin' hot variety.

New Matador flamin' hot stick combines Matador's original beef jerky with a hot and spicy kick, the company said. Within one year, the Matador brand has introduced three stick flavors and four jerky flavors.

The new Matador flamin' hot stick is available in a 1-oz. package for $1.29.

MINONG, Wis. Jack Link's beef jerky is celebrating hunting season with limited-edition packaging for its products.

Jack Link's 2-oz. original and teriyaki beef varieties will feature Realtree Camo patterns and a blaze-orange color.

The new packaging hit retail in August and will remain in stores through December.
