In addition serving as the former president and CEO of Heinz North America, Moran worked as a national sales manager for Clorox Co. and a sales executive for Procter & Gamble.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and 3G have completed their acquisition of condiment maker H.J. Heinz Co., Heinz said.

PITTSBURGH – Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and 3G have completed their acquisition of condiment maker H.J. Heinz Co., Heinz said.

Shareholders of Heinz will receive $72.50 per share in cash in the sale, whose total price is $28 billion. As a result of the deal, Heinz's stock is no longer trading on the New York Stock Exchange, and 3G Capital partner Bernardo Hees has been appointed as CEO.

NEW YORK — The investment groups of billionaires Warren Buffett and Jorge Paulo Lemann will buy H.J. Heinz for about $23 billion, according to published reports.

Bloomberg reported that Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and Lemann's 3G Capital would buy the condiment maker for $72.50 per share, and the deal includes $12 billion to $13 billion from Buffett's group. Heinz also owns the Ore-Ida potato chip brand.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Acosta Sales & Marketing and Wounded Warrior Project recently announced that more than 100 companies have signed on to support service members through the Wounded Warrior Project Believe in Heroes campaign, with more brands expected to join the campaign in the coming months.

To date, 53 brands — including Nestle, Brawny and Heinz — and 58 retailers — including, Harris Teeter, Ahold and Supervalu, among others — have signed on to support service members, with more expected to join in the coming months.

Heinz all-natural cleaning vinegar is 20% stronger than traditional distilled white vinegar, the company said. Available in a one-gallon jug, the new product carries a suggested retail price of $3.79.

PITTSBURGH — A limited-edition ketchup variety from Heinz will become a full-time member of the brand's lineup.

The introduction of Heinz Ketchup blended with balsamic vinegar marks the company's first new flavor in nearly a decade. Packaged in a glass 14-oz. bottle and featuring a black and silver label, the ketchup uses traditional Heinz variety tomatoes and special blend of spices but features tangy balsamic vinegar instead of traditional distilled white vinegar to provide a richer flavor.

The latest product recently was announced on Heinz's Facebook page, and will be sold via the page starting Nov. 14, before until hitting store shelves in December.

PITTSBURGH — Heinz has given a nod to the past by packaging its ketchup in classic glass bottles.

Limited-edition glass bottles of Heinz tomato ketchup will be available in a 14-oz. size for a suggested retail price of $1.99 at select retailers, including Walmart and Safeway, now through August, Heinz said Tuesday.

ATLANTA — Expect to see Heinz in a whole new way.

The company said it has entered a strategic partnership with Coca-Cola to implement the soft drink giant's PlantBottle packaging in the production of its Heinz Ketchup bottles. PlantBottle packaging is made of PET plastic bottles that are fully recyclable and use less nonrenewable resources than traditional PET plastic bottles, according to the companies. Heinz said the adoption of the PlantBottle technology will be the biggest change to its iconic ketchup bottles since they first introduced plastic in 1983.
